Temperature started reading 10 degrees too hot

Ben Oaks Sep 28, 2019 06:32PM PDT

over the past several months, i have noticed the temp of my bloomsky has shown anywhere between 5-10 degrees hot. Wasn't an issue before, but still, I moved the location to a shadier spot. Any suggestions on what to try to fix this.

Dear Ben,

Thank you for contacting BloomSky. The troubleshoot for camera or sensor issues is quite simple. Go ahead and power off the device for a minute and then back on. This will reset the camera and sensors. If the reading or picture does not return to normal, it is defective.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to reply back to this email, or look for updates on our facebook page.

Thanks for getting back. I've tried that and also totally reset the device. Guess I have a defective unit

Dear Ben,

You may have developed bad contact in the connector for the temperature sensor. This connector with four wires is next to the battery plug. Switch off the unit, open it and several times unplug and plug back again the smaller connector on pictures below. Check also that wires are firmly secured in the connector.
