Timelapse start and end times

Rick Hewett Aug 25, 2019 01:57AM PDT

At what times do the first and last images of the day get sent? My timelapse for yesterday started at 05:34 and ran til 20:44, but sunrise was at about 06:07 and sunset was at about 20:12. Is it based on something like nautical twilight*, or just a fixed time interval before sunrise and after sunset?

Hello Rick,

The time lapse starts a half hour before sunrise, and stops a half hour after sunset.

Thanks

Thanks. Useful to know, and works fine for middle latitudes. Something based on twilight time would account better for light levels at higher latitudes and for stations close to the equator where twilight is rather short.

No problem at all. I will let the team know, that we may want to consider twilight time
