WIND SPEED STILL NOT BEING RECORDED

Michael Sorrell Jul 03, 2018 08:21AM PDT

After discovering that the wind speed on mt Storm/BloomSky device was not being recorded, I tried the fix mentioned here previously, i.e. bring device in, attach to dongle, leave for two hours or overnight to update the firmware.
The firmware didn't update after 3 attempts, so gave up.
Can anyone help?

Hello Michael,

Are other values measured by Storm being reported? That is wind direction, rain rate etc.

Is wind speed being reported but remains constantly 0? Can you spin anemometer freely?

Is the wireless link between the network dongle (Storm-A1) and the anemometer (Storm-S1) operational? That is dongle’s repetitive light patter is about 17x green – 1x orange.

There is a reset button on each Storm-A1 and Storm-S1.

What is Storm’s firmware version? You can find it after signing into dashboard.bloomsky.com .

Hello Michael,

Did you speak to support about updating the device? To update the firmware, it must be manually pushed by one of us. So If you brought the device in without alerting us, there would be no firmware queued to be pushed to your device. I see you are still running the old firmware, and I can queue your device right now. Please let me know how it goes.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry didn’t realise it had to be manually pushed.
STORM now connected to dongle, could you let me know when firmware should have updated please?

Many thanks,

Michael
